The Counselling Experience

Therapy is a collaborative journey. Together, we will set goals, discuss treatment plans, and continuously check in to make sure the process is helpful.

My Therapeutic Philosophy

My practice is built upon a strong foundation of Trauma-Informed Therapy and Attachment Theory. This means I prioritize your psychological and emotional safety above all else, acknowledging how past relationships and experiences shape your current feelings and behaviors.

I am trained in a wide range of modalities—from cognitive and narrative frameworks to body-centered, somatic therapies. We will remain flexible as we move forward to ensure that you are finding the approach helpful. If a particular method doesn't fit, we keep trying until we find the combination that helps you understand your hurt, your reaction, and your way forward.

Therapies & Modalities

Because every client's path to healing is different, I draw from a diverse set of evidence-based treatments:

Attachment-Based Therapy

Explores how early relationships with caregivers influence adult attachment styles, relationship patterns, and emotional safety.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

A practical approach that helps identify and reframe negative thought patterns, shifting behaviors and emotional responses.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Encourages accepting difficult thoughts and feelings while committing to actions aligned with your core personal values.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Helps map and bring harmony to the various "parts" of the self, healing wounded and protective aspects of our psyche.

Mindfulness & Somatic Therapies

Bridges the mind-body connection to process stored trauma, regulate the nervous system, and cultivate present-moment calm.

Narrative Therapy

Views people as separate from their problems, allowing clients to re-author their personal stories and reclaim agency.

Gottman Couples Therapy

A highly structured approach for couples, focusing on building intimacy, affection, respect, and constructive conflict resolution.

Play Therapy & Youth Modalities

Tailored interventions for children and teenagers that use play, creative expression, and age-appropriate coping frameworks.
